Privacy policy

Effective October 6, 2026

WisePath Legal LLC, doing business as WisePath Estate Planning, is a Massachusetts law firm. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, the planning interview, and the client portal, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Interview information. When you complete the planning interview, you give us what an estate plan is built from: your name and contact details, your spouse or partner's details, the names and birthdates of your children, the people you choose for roles such as trustee, personal representative, and health care agent, general ranges describing your assets, and your wishes for your plan.

Account information. We collect your email address and send one time sign in codes to secure your session. We do not store passwords.

Messages and scheduling. If you send us a note, message us from the portal, or book a meeting, we keep what you send and the time you chose.

Technical information. Our systems record basic technical logs, such as device and browser information, to operate and secure the service. On our public web pages we use advertising and measurement tags, described below. We never sell personal information.

How we use it

We use your information to review your situation, advise you, prepare your documents, schedule your meetings, track the funding of your trust, communicate with you about your plan, and keep the service secure. Information you share for your plan is protected by the same duty of confidentiality that applies to every client of a law firm, whether or not you go on to engage us.

Who sees it

Your attorney and the staff working on your matter. We do not share your information with anyone else except the service providers listed below, as you direct, or as the law requires.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of established providers, under agreements that limit their use of your information to providing services to us: ProbateRisk, the planning platform that runs the interview, portal, and document preparation; Netlify for hosting; Supabase for our encrypted database; Resend and Google Workspace for email; Calendly for scheduling; and Zoom for video meetings.

Seminar sign ups

When you sign up for a seminar hosted by a partner such as Salem Five, your registration goes to both the host and WisePath Estate Planning, as the sign up form says. We use it for that seminar and its follow up, and you can give up your seat at any time from your seminar page.

Free planning resources

When you ask for a download or full results, such as the estate planning guide, the checklist, or a calculator report, we collect your first name and email, what you asked for, and the page you came from. We use them to send what you asked for and to open our other free resources for you. If you ask for planning tips, we send a few short emails, and every one has a link to unsubscribe. We do not sell this information.

Advertising and measurement

Our public web pages, such as our home page and this policy, may use tags from Meta and Google to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited. These tags can record the pages you view here, the buttons you tap, your device and browser, and an identifier stored in a cookie. Meta and Google handle that information under their own privacy policies.

These tags are never placed on the interview, the client portal, or anything you send us. Your answers, documents, and messages are not shared with them, and neither is anything you type into a form on these pages.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, these tags do not load. You can also block cookies in your browser, change your ad settings with Meta and Google, or use the opt out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

Children

This site is for adults. Plans naturally include information about children, such as names and birthdates, and we collect it only from an adult for the purpose of that adult's plan.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is limited to the people working on your matter. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information the way a law office should: carefully.

Retention and your choices

We keep client files for the periods Massachusetts rules require and then destroy them securely. If you start an interview and do not engage us, you may ask us to delete it at any time. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, email info@wisepathlegal.com.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
